PRIMARY LEVEL HOSTS HEARTWARMING CELEBRATION OF CHILDREN’S DAY
Bina Bangsa School PIKP lit up with vibrant colours and resounding laughter as it celebrated Children’s Day with various activities and events, putting the spotlight on the importance of childhood and the well-being of its learners. This celebration treated the young students to a day of fun, learning and happiness.
The celebration commenced with a short programme. Dressed in their most colourful and cheerful outfits, the students and teachers gathered at the Integrity Hall. Ms Linawati Lauw, BBS PIKP Principal, gave an inspiring talk about doing one’s part in making the world a better place. A heartwarming video clip was also played containing the wishes of students and teachers for a world where children’s potential and well-being are nurtured.
The programme reached its climax when three clowns appeared on stage to give a spectacular 40-minute acrobat show, eliciting laughter, amusement and wonder among the children, teachers and parents alike.
After the programme, the students had a delightful potluck in their classrooms, creating an atmosphere of unity, cooperation and inclusivity.
While inside their classrooms, the students designed their own coin banks as their souvenirs. They were instructed to use their coin banks to save on their own. The collected proceeds will be shared with the partner orphanages of the school during the Christmas season. This act of compassion and financial responsibility showcases the caring nature and generosity of these young minds.
The students were also given goodie bags containing food. This initiative organised by the parent volunteers aimed to bring smiles to the students’ faces. These bags were not only a source of joy but also a reminder of the strong bond between the school community and the parents who support their children’s education.
On this day, the students indulged in fun games and activities, creating memorable moments with their teachers. The school campus was transformed into a wonderland with different stations where students could play to their hearts’ content.
The Children’s Day celebration was a perfect way to end Term 1 on a good note. After the merrymaking, the students and teachers took time off from school work and used the one-week term break to rest and recharge in preparation for another challenging yet exciting academic term.
The school expresses its gratitude to the Student Development Committee for staging this successful event.
The school likewise sends its thanks to all the parent volunteers who, not only gave away free goodie bags, but also put up a fishing booth and sponsored some of the prizes for the different games.
