Ms Maria – Principal’s Award for Teachers 2024 nominee
Empowering young minds to learn with a HEART, our learning journey surpasses the confines of the classroom.
In the culmination of Unit 3: I am Special in Primary 4 English, our students embarked on a transformative community service initiative. All P4 students dedicated a day to selfless acts in the school canteen.
Sacrificing playtime, these young hearts embraced the invaluable lesson that learning is not bound by four walls – it is a perpetual commitment to personal growth and communal well-being. Through this hands-on experience, they internalised the essence of their worth and deep appreciation for what they have and their blessings.
In every plate cleaned, and every smile exchanged, our students exemplified that education extends far beyond textbooks, worksheets and tests. It is a dynamic force that should echo in their daily lives and in their own respective families.
By fostering a culture of giving and serving, they not only reinforced their language skills but also sowed seeds of empathy, kindness and gratitude. Their act of service was a testament to the belief that learning finds its meaning in the SERVICE of others and for others.
