The World Championship in Yantai, China
Among the eight students who won in the national competition in Bandung, Benjamin and Raymond will advance to the international grand finale along with Clement Nathaniel Thio (P6 Attentiveness) and Brentley Hu (P6 Attentiveness) who had been hailed as grand champions during the Make X Competition held in Semarang on 1 September 2023.
These four young victors are set to compete in the world championship in Yantai, China on 7-11 December 2023. They are among the players from different schools in the country who will represent Indonesia on the global stage.
According to Mr Terence, Make X coach of BBS PIK, the incoming world championship is not just a competition but also a payoff for the team’s immense commitment and hard work throughout those months of training. They will showcase what they have learnt in their robotics and computer programming class, he proudly stated.
As the countdown to the world championship continues, expectations are high for the BBS PIKP Team. These four students are training meticulously and preparing mentally to be able to bring home pride for their country, school and families.
In an interview, the four expressed their thoughts on their preparation for the world championship.
They said they would push themselves to the absolute limit by dedicating longer hours and more rigorous training regimens in preparing for the highly anticipated event. However, they emphasised the importance of striking a balance between training for this important event and their studies.
