Mid-Autumn Festival
One of the celebrations that celebrate cultural diversity in BBS PIK Preschool is the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is a time when our young ones discover the true meaning of this festival through storytelling, activities, and games. All our preschoolers arrived in school wearing red outfits, and Chinese traditional clothes.
During the celebration, they also crafted bunny ears and lanterns in celebration of the characters found in the story for Chang’e. The children were so happy to learn and listen to the story of Chang’e through a shadow puppet hosted by our Laoshis.
What’s a celebration without the fun and laughter? Our preschoolers engaged in traditional games which allowed them to be immersed in culture while having fun. Games like transferring a pomelo and shooting arrows towards the sun were just one of the activities that made the day interesting.
